DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS
Developing construction drawings often requires a team effort. Depending
on the scope of a given project, the efforts of many professional disciplines
may need to be involved, including architectural, structural, mechanical,
electrical, acoustical and technical specialists. Epps Corp takes the
lead role in developing the design, communicating and coordinating design
requirements, and producing all required drawings.

Managing the drawing process requires attention to detail throughout
each step of the project. Starting with “base” drawings, Epps
Corp provides the team members with an accurate CADD file which has been
thoroughly developed during concept stages to represent the best possible
solution to the client’s needs.
The design stages include:
AF – as found drawings
CD – concept drawings
WD – working drawings
TD – tender drawings
IP – issued for permit
IC – issued for construction
IF – issued for fabrication
AB – as-built drawings
Communicating the functional objectives and budget limits is crucial
for preparing successful construction drawings. Our emphasis is on technical
accuracy and comprehensiveness. The drawings and related specifications
are the principle method of communicating the design to the contractors.
If the drawings are done well, the implementation can be carried out without
changes.
The final result is fewer delays, reduced costs, and less frustration throughout
the project. Ultimately, our goal is an accurate, dependable outcome, that
comes in on budget.
Epps Corp is registered under the requirements of the Ontario Building Code
